Ghanaian media figure Ohemaa Woyeje has urged the youth to resist being misled by politicians and the elite in the country.
In a video posted on Instagram by ZionFelix on November 21, 2024, she expressed that politicians often use their resources to target those who dare to speak out against injustices.
“Politicians prefer to keep people in the dark so they can manipulate them easily. They thrive on having a populace that lacks awareness. However, every individual has the ability to discern right from wrong,” she stated.
Ohemaa also highlighted how these politicians attempt to buy people’s moral compass, launching attacks against anyone who brings attention to important issues. “It requires courage to challenge these injustices,” she emphasized.
She encouraged Ghanaians to courageously uphold and share the nation’s history, which she believes is being overlooked or erased by certain elites. “Our true history is not readily available online; it is passed down through generations.
During the pandemic, many elders who carried our history sadly passed away,” she noted. “Those who could safeguard our heritage are gone.
So, it’s vital to oppose any attempts to erase our history boldly. Ultimately, death is inevitable for everyone, so don’t let them intimidate you with the fear of it,” she concluded.
