Bernard Mornah, the Presidential Candidate of the People’s National Convention (PNC), has thrown his weight behind John Dramani Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) just three days before the general elections.
Speaking at Esaase Bontefufuo during a campaign rally led by John Mahama, Mr. Mornah urged Ghanaians to reflect on the hardships endured under the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) and rally for a change in leadership.
A Call for Change
Bernard Mornah did not hold back in criticizing the NPP government, accusing them of mismanagement that has plunged the country into economic and social hardship.
“Ghanaians have suffered greatly under the leadership of the NPP. The past eight years have been marked by broken promises, economic hardships, and a lack of accountability,” Bernard Mornah declared to an enthusiastic crowd. “It is time for change, and the right man to lead that change is John Dramani Mahama.”
Endorsing John Mahama
Bernard Mornah, who was unable to contest in this year’s election due to circumstances with his party and the EC, said his decision to support John Mahama was rooted in the belief that he has the vision and experience to restore hope to Ghanaians.
“John Mahama has proven himself as a leader who understands the needs of Ghanaians and is capable of steering this nation towards prosperity. He has the experience, the vision, and the compassion to lead us through these challenging times,” Mornah emphasized.
A Plea to Ghanaians
In a heartfelt appeal, Bernard Mornah urged voters to consider the difficulties they have faced under the NPP government and vote them out decisively in the December 7 polls.
“I am calling on all Ghanaians to reflect on the last eight years—the unfulfilled promises, the rising cost of living, and the struggles of daily life. This is our opportunity to make a statement and choose a better future for ourselves and our children. Vote massively for John Mahama and the NDC,” he said passionately.
A Unified Front for Change
His endorsement of John Mahama is seen as a significant boost to the NDC’s campaign, signaling a united front among opposition parties to unseat the ruling government. His speech was met with cheers and chants from the crowd, who expressed their readiness for change.
With just days to the election, the momentum around John Mahama’s campaign continues to grow, fueled by endorsements like that of Bernard Mornah, who described the NDC as the only viable choice for Ghanaians seeking relief from their struggles.
