TEMA,Ghana, 18 April: The Secretary-General of the Ghana Federation of Labour (GFL), Abraham Koomson, has called on key aides and officials surrounding John Dramani Mahama to play a more supportive role in ensuring the success of his administration.
According to Mr. Koomson, effective governance requires a strong and committed team around the President, stressing that no leader can succeed in isolation.
Speaking on Ahotor FM’s Yepe Ahunu programme on Saturday, April 18, he noted that due to the demanding nature of the presidency, President Mahama may not always have the time to closely follow media reports or public discourse.
As such, he said, it is the responsibility of those around him to keep him accurately informed about developments across the country.
He emphasised that the President relies on trusted advisors and aides who provide timely and honest feedback, adding that these individuals play a crucial role in shaping decision-making at the highest level.
Mr. Koomson further stated that President Mahama is not a magician and cannot govern alone, urging all those within his circle to work diligently and in the national interest to support his leadership.
He also issued a caution to officials who may prioritise personal gain over public service, warning that such individuals would eventually be exposed.
