Pac Academy Football Club has officially appointed former team manager Bernard Karikari, widely known as Coach KK, as the new assistant coach running until 2027, AhotorSports can exclusively confirm.
He will work under head coach Abubakar Adams, who also serves as the assistant coach for Ghana’s National U19 team.
Karikari’s return to the technical bench marks a full-circle moment for both him and Adams. The duo previously collaborated when Karikari was team manager and Adams served as assistant coach.
Adams later ascended to the head coach position, and now Karikari steps in to support him in a reversed role. This existing rapport is expected to ensure seamless integration and tactical synergy within the coaching staff.
Before his managerial role at PAC Academy, Karikari built a robust coaching resume across Ghana and abroad. He served as head coach for Kwamo Future Stars FC, Asokwa Deportivo, Essential FC, Diaso United, Kumasi Sports Academy, and multiple women’s teams.
Karikari also honed his craft with coaching stints in Qatar and Dubai, bringing global tactical insights to the local scene.

His background as a former sports journalist further enriches his profile, offering a deep understanding of football dynamics, media relations, and player psychology.
The experienced caoch will be formally presented to the squad on Friday afternoon and will immediately join the technical team for preparations ahead of PAC Academy’s crucial Zone 2 clash against Ebusua Dwarfs FC this Sunday.
Currently second in Zone 2, PAC Academy FC remains in the hunt for promotion. With Coach KK’s wealth of experience now bolstering Abubakar Adams’ leadership, the club aims to solidify its push toward the top of the standings.
This strategic appointment signals PAC Academy’s ambition and commitment to building a formidable technical team for the season’s decisive battles.
