Ghana’s Black Stars coach Otto Addo is looking to bolster his technical team ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
GFA Communications Director Henry Asante Twum confirmed that Addo has requested additional staff to support the squad, citing the importance of having the best possible team for the tournament.
“This is the biggest football tournament, and he believes we must go there with the best,” Twum said. Addo has already added Winfried Schafer, Desmond Ofei, and Gregory De Grauwe to the team, and his latest request shows his commitment to thorough preparation.
The Black Stars are in Group L, facing England, Croatia, and Panama, and will kick off their World Cup campaign against Panama on June 17 in Toronto. Ghana aims to make a deeper run in the expanded 2026 tournament, following early exits in 2014 and 2022.
