Otto Addo Meets Thomas Partey as Ghana Preparises for 2026 World Cup

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has held crucial talks with deputy captain Thomas Partey in Spain, emphasizing the need for physical condition, discipline, and focus ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

 

The meeting, described as positive, is part of Addo’s European tour to engage key players and build momentum for Ghana’s World Cup campaign.

 

Addo has also met with Jordan Ayew, Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, and Mohammed Kudus, strengthening unity and shared purpose within the squad.

 

Ghana faces Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L of the 2026 World Cup, set to be hosted by the US, Canada, and Mexico.

 

Partey later featured for Villarreal in their 3-0 Champions League defeat to Bayer Leverkusen.
