Apostle Abraham Lincoln Larbi, the convener of the “Agro Ne Fom” demonstration calling for the dismissal of the Special Prosecutor, Lawyer Kissi Agyebeng, has expressed strong dissatisfaction with the performance of the Special Prosecutor since the departure of his predecessor, Martin Amidu.
According to Apostle Larbi, his careful observation of Kissi Agyebeng’s actions indicates that the Special Prosecutor is “more interested in talking than in genuinely fighting corruption to help Ghanaians.”
He referenced a recent interview in which Kissi Agyebeng claimed he had witnessed former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta leaving the country but was unable to arrest him due to what he described as interference from “the powers that be.” Larbi questioned why the Special Prosecutor did not hold an immediate press conference at the time to alert Ghanaians and seek public intervention, instead of speaking about it only after the former minister had already left the jurisdiction.
Apostle Larbi described the Special Prosecutor’s conduct as “bad faith,” insisting that “by now, Kissi Agyebeng should have tendered his resignation.”
He further argued that extraditing Ken Ofori-Atta would be extremely difficult, given that he is in another country where the authorities could choose to protect him—particularly if he has significant investments there.
