OSP Declares Ken Ofori-Atta Wanted, Seeks Public Assistance in Locating Him

The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has intensified its search for former Finance Minister Ken Ofori-Atta by publishing an official “Wanted” poster and appealing to the public for information about his whereabouts.

This development follows the OSP’s recent declaration of Ofori-Atta as a fugitive, stemming from ongoing investigations into multiple high-profile cases. These include the controversial loss-reduction contract between the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) and Beijing Jao, procurement-related concerns surrounding the National Cathedral project, contracts awarded by the Ministry of Health to Service Ghana Auto Limited for ambulances, and the SML-GRA deal.

In a public notice shared on Facebook on Monday, February 17, 2025, the OSP called on individuals with knowledge of Ofori-Atta’s location to report directly to its office. The post emphasized the critical need for public cooperation in ensuring justice is served.

This announcement marks a significant escalation in efforts to bring Ofori-Atta to justice, underscoring the OSP’s commitment to addressing allegations of corruption and safeguarding public funds.
