Nollywood veteran actor Osita Iheme has revealed that marriage is currently not part of his plans, despite being 43 years old.
Speaking in a recent interview, the popular actor, affectionately known as Pawpaw, explained that he is more focused on enjoying his life and supporting the people who matter to him.
According to Osita Iheme, his siblings already have children whom he considers his own. He noted that caring for his family and being there for them gives him a sense of fulfillment at this stage of his life.
“I’m 43 now, and marriage is not something I’m looking forward to. I just want to enjoy my life and support the people close to me. My brothers and sisters have children, and I see them as my own.”
The actor’s comments have sparked conversations about marriage, personal choices and the pressure often placed on unmarried adults, particularly celebrities.
For many people, reaching their 30s or 40s without marriage is sometimes interpreted as a sign of financial difficulties, relationship problems or an inability to take care of a family.
However, Osita Iheme’s position highlights another perspective: being unmarried does not necessarily mean a person is struggling or incapable of building a family.
People have different priorities, timelines and definitions of fulfillment. While marriage may be an important goal for some, others may choose to focus on their careers, families, personal freedom or simply enjoying life on their own terms.
For Osita Iheme, it appears that supporting his loved ones and enjoying the life he has built remain his priorities for now.
At 43, the veteran actor is making it clear that marriage is a personal decision, not a deadline.
