Former National Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Dr. Samuel Ofosu-Ampofo, has declared that John Dramani Mahama is the only leader capable of steering the country back on course.
Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo criticized the current administration under the New Patriotic Party (NPP), stating that its mismanagement has left the nation in a precarious state.
“A vote for the NPP will only deepen our troubles,” he warned, urging Ghanaians to rally behind John Mahama to reset the country’s direction.
Speaking to students in the Eastern Region during his “Get Out The Voters for Mahama” (G.O.T.V 4 Mahama) campaign, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo emphasized that everyone is feeling the hardship brought by the NPP government.
“The only person capable of getting us back on track is John Mahama—the experienced driver our country needs, not a driver’s mate,” he stated passionately.
As part of his commitment to the NDC and John Mahama’s success in the upcoming December elections, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo has launched a tour across the Eastern Region, joined by both former and current NDC executives, to encourage support and boost voter turnout.
In his message, he urged party supporters and volunteers to redouble their efforts in these crucial final days before the election.
“The days leading to the election are vital,” he stressed. “We all need to work tirelessly to secure John Mahama’s victory.”
Earlier, in an interview on Ahotor FM’s morning show Adekyee Mu Nsem, hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu on October 24th, 2024, Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo revealed his personal dedication to the campaign.
He has been visiting remote villages across the Eastern Region, many without electricity, to share John Mahama’s message.
“I’ve volunteered for John Mahama, going to villages that don’t even have light, using car headlights to get our message across. It’s that level of commitment we all need,” he said.
Dr. Ofosu-Ampofo encouraged all party members to stay vigilant, increase their efforts as the election draws near, and actively support the “Get Out The Voters for Mahama” (G.O.T.V 4 Mahama) movement.
“My suggestion is that we should all be volunteers for John Mahama, regardless of whether someone asks us to help or not. If anyone doubts your work, remember—you are a volunteer for John Mahama.”
