A Political Historian, Nana Osei Piesie Anto has described as unfortunate comments by the Okyehene, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panini II who labelled person’s insulting the president, Nana Addo Danquah for asking them to stop illegal mining as villagers and witches
Speaking on ‘Adekye Mu Nsem’ Monday, October 24, 2022 hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu, Nana Piesie indicated the speech of the elderly must be seasoned but unfortunately, Okyehene over the weekend never spoke as a chief but a politician
He indicated, he didn’t expect him to speak that way
Addressing the congregation at St Mark Anglican Church at Kyebi, Osagyefo Amoatia Ofori Panin II pointed out that only those who were not properly trained at home and at church would insult the elderly
Nana Piesie said, he has followed the political sphere and observed for a long time and has realised Okyehene has never been able to speak the truth to Nana Addo on how he is governing the country nor criticize him on anything ever since he became president
He said, “it is time we speak as a country because if we keep quite we will all sink in the boat”
