Dr Fred Kyei-Asamoah the Director General of C-TVET has underscored the importance of Teachers in our Country’s educational system and the need to encourage them in every possible means to ensure our children get the best of training in our schools to become useful Citizens in future to move Ghana forward.
It is in this direction that he has donated 1 motorcycle, 9 double-decker refrigerators and 8 flat screens (32-inches) Televisions to be awarded to deserving Teachers at 67th Independence Day Celebration in the Offinso North District tomorrow in the Ashanti Region as a motivational token to Teachers working at the area.
Speaking in an interview with the Media when handing over the items to Management of Offinso North District Assembly, Dr. Fred Kyei Asamoah who is also the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Offinso North Constituency said it is his wish to make this award package an annual exercise during the 6th March celebrations and expand it to Nurses/Midwives and all other workers serving in various capacities.
For his part, Mr. Daniel Owusu the Offinso North District Coordinating Director who received the donation on behalf of the Assembly expressed gratitude to Dr Fred Kyei-Asamoah.
Moreover, a former Presiding Member of the Offinso North District Assembly Hon. Francis Akwasi Awuah called on other individuals, Groups or Companies to always support the Assembly as Government alone cannot provide all their needs.
