The headline inflation rate in Ghana eased to 8.0 per cent in October 2025, marking the lowest level since June 2021 and representing the tenth consecutive month of decline.

Data from the Ghana Statistical Service shows a continued decrease from 9.4 per cent in September, driven by a stable currency, lower fuel prices, and better food supply conditions nationwide.

Food inflation dropped sharply to 9.5 per cent from 11.0 per cent, while non-food inflation declined to 6.9 per cent from 8.2 per cent.

Inflation for domestically produced goods decreased significantly to 8.0 per cent from 10.1 per cent, indicating improved price stability locally.

In contrast, imported inflation slightly increased to 7.8 per cent from 7.0 per cent due to global logistics issues and exchange rate adjustments.

Regionally, Bono East recorded the lowest inflation at 1.1 per cent, whereas North East experienced the highest rate at 17.3 per cent, though down from 20.1 per cent in September.
