Obaaku Papapaa Urges Gospel Musicians to Seek God’s Guidance Before Marriage

Ghanaian gospel musician Obaaku Papapaa has advised gospel musicians to seek God’s guidance when choosing their life partners, stressing that marriage requires more than feelings and romantic love to survive.

Speaking on Ahotor Mmre with Obaapa Janee on Ahotor FM, the musician explained that gospel musicians need partners who understand the demands of their calling and are willing to support their ministry.

According to her, choosing a life partner who does not understand the responsibilities that come with being a gospel musician can create challenges in marriage and potentially lead to separation.

Obaaku Papapaa emphasised that a successful marriage requires two people who are prepared to work together, understand each other’s purpose and support one another through the demands of life and ministry.

She cautioned that entering marriage based solely on emotions, without seeking God’s direction, could result in choosing an unsuitable partner.

The gospel musician therefore encouraged those preparing for marriage, particularly people in ministry, to pray and seek God’s face before making such an important decision.

Her comments highlight the importance of spiritual compatibility, mutual understanding and shared commitment in building a lasting marriage, especially for people whose careers involve serving God and reaching audiences through music.
