NPP’s Charles Bissue Slams Felix Kwakye Ofosu Over Remarks on President Mahama

Nanabanyin Onuawonto Bissue, the NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan Constituency, has criticized Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, for perceived disrespect towards President John Dramani Mahama. The criticism stems from Kwakye Ofosu’s public remarks on the cocaine plane incident and the National Intelligence Bureau’s failed attempt to arrest Rev. John Ntim Fordjour, MP for Assin South.

The incident has sparked controversy, with questions raised about the government’s handling of the situation. The failed attempt to arrest Rev. John Ntim Fordjour has added to the controversy, with some questioning the effectiveness of the National Intelligence Bureau.

Bissue believes Kwakye Ofosu’s public remarks were made without presidential approval, showing disrespect for both the president and the office he holds. Bissue notes that President Mahama had already directed security agencies to investigate the drug trafficking allegations and work with Ntim Fordjour, making Kwakye Ofosu’s comments unnecessary.

Bissue is the 2024 NPP Parliamentary Candidate for Essikado-Ketan Constituency. He has previously served as a presidential staffer and Western Regional Secretary of the NPP. Bissue is married to Nana Ama Dokua Asiamah-Adjei, the outgoing MP for Akuapem North Constituency, who chose not to seek re-election.
