Tema East Member Of Parliament, Hon Isaac Ashai Odamtten has alleged on AHOTOR FM on Wednesday 9th, 2022 that communicators and serial callers in the NPP enjoys monthly stipends for no work done.
The former mayor for the Tema Metropolitan Assembly said the government have shortchanged Ghanaians at the expense of the poor taxpayer. A situation he bemoan as a blot on the citizenry.
He mentioned to Citizen Kofi Owusu on Adekye Mu Nsem that the erstwhile NDC administration led by John Dramani Mahama bequeathed huge volumes state assets to President Nana Addo but for poor management of the various allocations from the economy there is nothing to show for.
The lawmaker similarly, explained that the proposed E-Levy remain the only solution and a conveyor belt For expected revenue generation for the country.
He stated more so, that it is not laudable and economically viable for government to bang hopes on the e Levy as a source through which the country can secure developments in the national interest. Ghana’s total debt stock stands at Gh¢ 344.8billion with about 80% of the overall GDP expected To Be used to service debt, according to a world bank report.
