Ghanaian disc jockey and radio presenter DJ Slim recently announced that he has ended his membership with the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) due to his dissatisfaction with the party.
During his “Street is Watching” show, he officially declared his resignation, expressing concerns about the party’s governance of the country.
He highlighted the party’s failure to address important issues such as the detrimental impact of illegal mining (Galamsey) on water bodies, particularly citing the state of the river along the Cape Coast road, likening its appearance to Milo.
DJ Slim also lamented the loss of the original color of many river bodies in Ghana due to environmental degradation.
