Not knowing me doesn’t make you any less of a Christian – Nathaniel Bassey

Nathaniel Bassey, renowned gospel artist, has spoken out on the ongoing Twitter discussion surrounding people who reject life partners simply because they don’t know gospel artists like him. He emphasized that such judgments do not diminish anyone’s Christianity.

In a recent post, Nathaniel reminded believers that not knowing a specific gospel musician does not affect one’s faith.

He urged Christians to be mindful, ensuring their passion for their faith does not turn into an unhealthy obsession.

“Dear brothers and sisters, you are blessed. Just a gentle reminder: let’s be cautious and avoid letting our passion become an unhealthy obsession. Not knowing me, Nathaniel Bassey, or any other vibrant servant of God does not make you any less of a Christian. In fact, there are many Christians who have never heard of me or my music—and that doesn’t make them any less Christian. They don’t need to know me. I’m not the best thing since sliced bread.”

Nathaniel also advised against judging those who choose not to participate in the ongoing Hallelujah Challenge (HC), an online prayer initiative.

“I don’t even see myself in that light,” he said. “It would be prideful to think that way. Not joining the Hallelujah Challenge doesn’t make you any less of a Christian. Everyone is free to connect with what works best for them.”

Addressing the various mentions he’s received, he clarified that he usually refrains from commenting on such matters, but felt it was important to share his thoughts.

He wrapped up with an invitation for all to join the Hallelujah Challenge: “Having said all this, the HC is back tonight after a short break, with Day 7. Let’s come together before our Father and offer up our hallelujahs—NO WAHALA, ONLY HALLELUJAH!”
