Former Ghana Football Association chairman Dr Nyaho Nyaho-Tamakloe has cautioned Black Stars coach Otto Addo against inviting players who previously turned down opportunities to represent Ghana.
Speaking to Graphic Sports, Dr Tamakloe emphasized that players who initially rejected call-ups should not be considered for future invitations. “Those who initially turned down invitations should not be invited at all,” he stated.
However, Dr Tamakloe suggested that players who have never been invited should be given a chance to represent the Black Stars. This comes as Ghana prepares for the 2026 World Cup, with several European-born players expressing interest in playing for the country.
Ghana will learn its group phase opponents on November 5, and the team is determined to make a mark at the Mundial after exiting at the group phase in Qatar 2022.
