Nii Odartey Lamptey Names 25 Players for National U-16 Camping
Former Ghana International Nii Odartey Lamptey has selected 25 talented young players to report to the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy in Abreshia, near Elmina, on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, for the Under-16 camping.
The players will continue their preparations for the upcoming Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational tournament, scheduled to take place next month.
The players were chosen following a series of intensive screening exercises at the Glow Lamp Soccer Academy over a two-week period.
The exercises included trial matches against lower-tier sides, allowing the technical team to assess the players’ skills and abilities. Lamptey, who led the screening exercises as Head Coach, was assisted by John Oppong Welbeck, Awudu Issaka, and Theophilus Daitey, the Welfare Manager.
The technical team will now prepare the selected players for the Guadeloupe U-16 Invitational tournament, which will feature U16 players from Mexico, France, Brazil, Ivory Coast, and Togo.
The tournament will play a crucial role in the team’s development, preparing them for future international competitions.
