Former Sports Minister Edwin Nii Lante Vanderpuye believes Eddie Nketiah and Callum Hudson-Odoi would be valuable additions to the Black Stars squad for the 2026 World Cup.
Ghana has been drawn into Group L alongside England, Croatia, and Panama.
Vanderpuye argues that players with Ghanaian roots can give the team a psychological edge, especially against England. “Imagine having Jordan [Ayew], [Antoine] Semenyo, Eddie Nketiah, and Hudson-Odoi in attack! It makes us stronger,” he said.
Ghana’s 2026 World Cup campaign kicks off against Panama on June 17 in Toronto, followed by England in Boston on June 23, and concludes with Croatia in Philadelphia on June 27.
