Toyosi Etm-Effiong, the CEO of Good Media, is a strong advocate for promoting Nigerian films on the global stage.
She believes that Nigeria’s film industry, Nollywood, has the potential for global recognition and success.
In a recent interview, she expressed her confidence in the impact of Nile Entertainment Group on the industry and her hope for improved compensation for talented individuals in the field.
“I worked with Essence for three years to promote Nollywood and showcase our content to a global audience. I’ve always believed that Nigeria is too small to contain Nollywood, and we need to focus on more marketing efforts. When we engage with international brands, it’s essentially marketing for Nollywood. Nollywood requires more marketing, and with Nile and the powerful group they have assembled, I trust they know how to present the industry effectively. Our goal is global recognition and appreciation,” she concluded.
She also spoke eagerly about the expansion of cinemas and the positive impact it will have on the industry.
Additionally, she emphasized the importance of marketing Nollywood globally and expressed her optimism about the efforts being made in this direction.
