A high-powered delegation of the Ngmayem Festival Planning Committee of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area has paid a courtesy call on the Member of Parliament for Upper Manya, Hon. Bismark Tetteh Nyarko at his home in Asesewa.
The delegation was led by Mr. Samadjie Partey.
The Konor of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area, Nene Sackite ll sent the delegation about three months ago to meet with the MP to seek for his support towards the 2022 Ngmayem Festival which will come off at the end of October, 2022.
In that meeting, Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko pledged his total support to the festival.
He advised the Planning Committee to include Upper Manya Krobo in the activities.
Hin Tetteh Nyarko indicated there are a lot of things that can improve upon the local economy of the Manya Krobo Traditional Area.
He also advised the Planning Committee to initiate a Beads Festival in the program that should be organized in the Upper Manya Krobo District.
A soccer game between the two Districts should also be organized.
The visit today, Monday, September 26, 2022 was to inform the MP that, the Konor has approved of all his recommendations.
The Hon Bismark Tetteh Nyarko expressed his joy on the development and assured the delegation of his full participation.
The MP said he’s happy his recommendations have been accepted by the Konor.
“A Beads Festival in Upper Manya Krobo with its numerous tourist sites which are yet to be developed will sell the District to the world and open investment opportunities.” he said.
