Netherlands Silences Turkey To Reach EURO 2024 Semifinals

The Netherlands secured a splendid 2-1 victory over Turkey in a hard-fought quarterfinal match at EURO 2024, earning their spot in the semifinals.

The Turkish side opened the scoring early in the 35th minutes first half through Samet Akaydin assisted by Real Madrid wander-kid Arda Guler, who capitalized on a defensive error by Dutch . Despite the setback, the Dutch responded with vigor, equalizing through a Stefan De Vrij followed up tapping into the net from stunning strike from Memphis Depay in the second half.

The game saw both teams create numerous chances, but it was the Netherlands who found the decisive goal through a defection on Mert Muldur which found at the back of the net sending Dutch fans into a frenzy.

Turkey pushed hard for an equalizer in the dying minutes, but the Netherlands’ defense held firm. The victory propels the Netherlands into the semifinals, where they will face a formidable Three- Lions of England.
