The National Democratic Congress (NDC) member of Parliament for Sagnarigu, Hon A. B. A. Fuseini, has stated that the Unity walk organised on Saturday, 9th September by four constituencies in the northern region was a success, in his words he described it as ‘fantastic ‘
According to A.B.A Fuseini, party faithfuls and well wishers joined the walk voluntarily and it was just a Monmouth gathering.
He further stated that the walk was not a regional activity as purported by some people in the party but was limited to only four constituencies within the Northern Region.
He was speaking in a telephone interview with Ahotor FMs morning Show, hosted by Emmanuel Quarshie on Monday 11th September, 2017.
” We didn’t even organise this walk, we could have made our branch organizers to mobilize grass root members for this unity walk but we didn’t. We will not have contained them”
“The grass-root members came out strongly within these constituencies
and were motivated to come out and join these great family and by God’s grace if this momentum is maintain, we are sure of victory in the 2020 election and the signs are already there for all to see. This is a match that is bringing every NDC member out”, He stated.
Speaking on the controversies surrounding the absence of some leading members of the party, Hon. ABA Fuseini stated that, it will not be possible to have every one present at a given program, so the absence of some officials from this program is not so surprising.
“This event was not a John Mahama Event but a party program which was open to every member within the part.They did not come out because John Mahama was present, but because they love the great NDC and the are loyal to it’s course”
“Those people talking ill about the program do not want the betterment of the party and this is so unfortunate, we were overwhelmed by the level of acceptance by all stakeholders and the rank and file of the party who came out to campaign for the Unity of the NDC party” He concluded.
