NDC To Pay Monthly Allowances To GPL Players When Elected Into Office – Dr. Fred Awaah

The spokesperson on sports for the National Democratic Congress manifesto, Dr Fred Awaah has expressed significant policy aimed at improving the welfare of players in the Ghana Premier League.

In an exclusive interview on Ahotor Agorokensie, Dr Awaah explained that , if the NDC is elected into office, they will introduce a monthly allowance for players across the nation’s top football division (GPL). This initiative is part of the NDC’s broader agenda to revitalize the sports sector, particularly football, which plays a pivotal role in Ghana’s national youth development.

Dr. Fred Awaah further emphasized that this move will not only alleviate the financial struggles of players but also encourage the development of local talent by offering more stability in their careers. By ensuring a consistent income, the NDC aims to boost morale, retain talent, and elevate the standard of football in the country.

As the 2024 elections approach, this policy could be a game-changer especially the welfare of the players in the Ghana Premier League.
