Dr. Edward Omane Boamah, the Director of Elections and IT for the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has indicated the party’s willingness to hold back their evidence regarding alleged irregularities in the voter register.
This willingness, however, hinges on the Electoral Commission (EC) taking a transparent approach and publicly demonstrating the changes it claims to have made to the register.
Dr. Omane Boamah stressed the importance of the EC’s transparency in this matter, emphasizing that the NDC’s primary concern is the integrity and fairness of the electoral process.
He reiterated that if the EC can provide clear and verifiable evidence of the corrections made to the voter register, it would go a long way in alleviating the concerns of the NDC and other stakeholders.
This call for openness reflects the party’s commitment to ensuring a credible electoral process and underscores the significance of the EC’s role in maintaining public trust.
