NDC INSIGHT CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION INTO CORRUPTION ACROSS ALL SECTORS IN GHANA

The NDC Insight, is calling for an urgent and comprehensive investigation into all sectors and institutions in Ghana.

This call comes in light of alarming revelations that suggest the past New Patriotic Party (NPP) government, led by President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, alongside their appointees, have systematically looted and misappropriated public funds that were earmarked for national development.

Recent disclosures, including the shocking NSS expose, the discovery of 12 containers filled with money and gold bars, and the dubious auctioning of a container belonging to the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) valued at $500,000 for a mere 100,000 GHC only to be sold back to ECG for $300,000—illustrate a pattern of clear and deliberate thievery.

These incidents are not isolated; they are part of a broader scheme of orchestrated state offenses that demand immediate scrutiny and accountability.

NDC INSIGHT CALLS FOR IMMEDIATE INVESTIGATION INTO CORRUPTION ACROSS ALL SECTORS IN GHANA

Accra, Ghana – 17th Feb, 2025

Dr. Sorkpah stated, “The NPP has engaged in carefully planned acts of corruption that have not only robbed our nation but have also betrayed the trust of the Ghanaian people. We must not only focus on the leaders at the helm but thoroughly review all sectors of our government. It is evident that they have exploited the resources of this country for their own benefit, and as we dig deeper, we may uncover even more extensive damage in areas we have yet to investigate.”

The NDC Insight believes that the time for complacency is over. The citizens of Ghana deserve transparency and accountability from their leaders and institutions. We cannot allow the perpetrators of these crimes to escape justice. The message is clear: every individual involved in the theft of public resources must be held accountable, regardless of their position or influence.

The National Organizer of the NDC, Hon. Joseph Yamin, adds, “We will no longer accept half-hearted apologies from the majority in Parliament or government officials. The era of ‘Father for All’ will not be entertained. Our country must and will be reset, and we are prepared to take the necessary steps to ensure that those who have exploited our nation face the consequences of their actions.”

The NDC Insight is committed to leading the charge against corruption in Ghana. We urge all citizens, civil society organizations, and the media to join us in this critical fight for accountability. Together, we can demand a thorough investigation into all sectors, ensuring that every act of corruption is uncovered and dealt with decisively.

We call on the relevant authorities to act swiftly and transparently. The people of Ghana deserve nothing less than a government that is accountable, honest, and dedicated to the true development of our nation.
