Ghanaians must remain vigilant and reject any actions from the NPP that attempt to undermine the electoral process. We have heard NPP communicators openly declare that they have “1,000 ways to win the elections,” which can only be interpreted as a declaration of their intent to rig the elections.
The upcoming election is not just a political contest; it is a crucial moment for the soul of our nation. It represents a choice between accountability and corruption, between transparency and cover-ups, particularly regarding the Agyapa deal, as well as various scandals involving the misappropriation of taxpayer funds.

*NDC Insight Calls for Immediate Action Against NPP Inducement Tactics During Voting*
Accra, Ghana – December 4, 2024 – NDC Insight vehemently condemns the alarming tactics employed by Members of Parliament from the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to manipulate the electoral process during the ongoing voting period. Reports indicate that NPP parliamentary candidates are actively engaging in the distribution of food, money, and clothing to voters with the intent to influence their choices at the polls. This blatant disregard for electoral integrity is not only unethical but also illegal under the laws governing our electoral process.
The provisions of Sections 33 and 34 of the PNDCL 284 explicitly prohibit any form of inducement intended to sway the decisions of voters. According to the law, offering money, food, drink, or any other items that could influence a voter’s decision constitutes inducement, which is a criminal offense. NDC Insight urges the authorities to enforce these laws rigorously. Those found guilty of such offenses must face the full force of the law, which includes potential jail time or fines, rather than just being summoned by a special prosecutor—a measure that achieves little and wastes taxpayers’ money.
It is disheartening to witness security officials, who are expected to uphold the law and serve as role models, accepting these inducements instead of rejecting them. Such actions undermine the rule of law and set a dangerous precedent. If law enforcement personnel cannot adhere to the legal framework, how can we expect ordinary Ghanaians to do so? Dr. Anthony Sorkpah, Communications Officer of NDC Insight, stated, “The rule of law has corroded under the NPP administration, and it is imperative that we restore it on December 7th.”
The choice is clear: Ghanaians must vote decisively to reject the NPP and their corruption by supporting the NDC and John Mahama on December 7th. We must not allow the NPP to continue their reign of lawlessness, which has resulted in significant financial losses for the nation. Their desperate attempts to rig the election in favor of Dr. Bawumia are driven by a need to conceal their past indiscretions, as he is also implicated in these scandals.
NDC Insight calls on all Ghanaians to recognize the urgency of this moment. We must stand firm against any intimidation, resist the NPP’s attempts to subvert our democracy, and hold them accountable for their actions. The NDC stands for development and accountability, and we urge the electorate to bring John Mahama back to power alongside all NDC parliamentary candidates.
December 7th is not just another day; it is a pivotal moment in our history. The outcome of this election will have far-reaching consequences. We must mobilize and vote massively for the NDC, for we cannot allow the NPP to steal yet another election. Together, let us protect our democracy and ensure a brighter future for Ghana.
