Founder and General Overseer of the Glorious Word and Power Ministry International, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah, says some members of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) despise him because of his resolve to speak the truth.
According to him, he has made enemies in the NDC because his prophecies always tend to favour the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP).
He said the fact that most of his prophecies favour the NPP does not make him an NPP member.
Rev. Owusu Bempah’s comments follow accusations by some members of the NDC that Rev. Owusu Bempah is not a true man of God.
A former National Organizer of the NDC, Boateng Gyan, for example has said Rev Bempah is only interested in satisfying his political associates.
To him, for the man of God to claim it is impossible for John Mahama to become the president of Ghana for a second time means he isn’t really doing God’s work.
But Rev. Owusu Bempah argued that he only makes known to the public what God reveals to him and that the NDC simply hate him because his prohecies are always against the NDC.
“I don’t just make predictions because I feel like making them. Before I come out to say anything, then it’s God who has asked me to tell the world and so the earlier the NDC accepts that, the better for them. They should stop attacking me and accept any prohesies I make.
“I think some people in the NDC simply hate me because they are refusing to accept the truth which I always stand for” he said.
Some Ghanaians including clergymen and members of the NDC have described Rev Owusu Bempah as a prophet of doom and a person who thrives on ‘fear and panic’.
The controversial pastor however says he is not bothered by such comments, saying he only puts out what is revealed to him by Goad.
He however insists that former President John Dramani Mahama has no chance of leading the country again.
Rev Owusu Bempah intimated that God had revealed to him that any effort to get Mr. Mahama back to the presidency will be in futility.
