The National Service Authority (NSA) has interdicted two staff members stationed at its Birim North District office for their alleged involvement in the illegal processing of allowances.
According to preliminary findings from an internal audit, the two officers are believed to have engaged in unauthorized activities that led to the wrongful disbursement of funds meant for national service personnel.
The fraudulent scheme reportedly involved the manipulation of payment records and the creation of fictitious names to divert public funds.
In a statement released by the NSA, the Authority emphasized its firm stance against corruption and misconduct within its operations.
“The interdiction is part of ongoing efforts to ensure transparency, accountability, and the protection of public resources. Anyone found culpable will face the full rigors of the law,” the statement said.
The NSA added that the matter has been referred to the appropriate law enforcement agencies for further investigation and possible prosecution.
Internal disciplinary processes are also underway.
The National Service Authority (NSA) has reiterate its commitment to tightening internal controls and preventing abuse of the national service scheme.
