The National Film Authority is set to officially launch the Film Development Fund Management Committee on Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Silverbird Cinemas Accra Mall.
The launch marks a significant step towards strengthening and supporting the growth of Ghana’s film industry by creating a structured system to help finance film projects and industry development initiatives.
According to industry stakeholders, the Film Development Fund is expected to provide much-needed support for filmmakers, producers, directors, actors, and other creative professionals within the country’s movie sector.

The initiative is also seen as a move aimed at boosting local film production, job creation, and the international visibility of Ghanaian cinema.
The event is expected to attract key players in the entertainment and creative arts industry, including filmmakers, actors, producers, government officials, and media personalities.
