
Accra, Ghana – The Vice President of the Republic of Ghana, H.E. Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, has emphasized that the government’s agenda to reset the country’s economy is both ambitious and necessary.
According to her, achieving this goal requires a collective effort from all sectors, including every Ghanaian citizen.
Speaking at the closing of the two-day National Economic Dialogue, held under the theme “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together,” the Vice President underscored the importance of collaboration in driving economic transformation.
“The reset agenda is both ambitious and necessary. It requires a concerted effort from all of us—government, private sector, civil society, and every Ghanaian citizen,” she stated.
She assured stakeholders that the government is fully committed to translating the resolutions from the dialogue into concrete action.
“I want to assure you that the Government of Ghana is fully committed to translating these resolutions into concrete action,” she stated.
Prof. Opoku-Agyemang further pledged that the government will work closely with stakeholders to ensure that the proposed action points are effectively implemented.
“We will work with stakeholders so that the action points are implemented effectively. This means ensuring that we take sustained action in the areas of fiscal reforms, private sector support, infrastructure development, and governance,” she said.
She also stressed that accountability would be a central pillar of the implementation process, ensuring transparency in the government’s efforts.
“Furthermore, we will track progress and remain transparent in our efforts. Accountability will be a central pillar of the implementation process,” she said.
The Vice President reiterated the government’s commitment to staying engaged with stakeholders, continuously monitoring progress, and ensuring that the strategies proposed during the dialogue are effectively executed.
“In the months and years to come, we will stay engaged with you to monitor our progress and ensure that we are delivering on the strategies proposed during this dialogue,” she said.
She concluded by expressing confidence that, through sustained collaboration and determination, Ghana will achieve a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous future.
“We are confident that with sustained collaboration, determination, and collective action, we will build a resilient, inclusive, and prosperous Ghana,” she said.
