The Minister for Finance, Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson has reaffirmed the government’s commitment to reviving Ghana’s economy by incorporating outcomes from the 2025 National Economic Dialogue into the forthcoming National Budget.
Taking place from March 3 to 4, 2025, at the Accra International Conference Centre, the dialogue brings together a diverse group of stakeholders, including policymakers, economists, business leaders, and civil society organizations, to craft innovative solutions to Ghana’s economic challenges.
In a Facebook post on Monday, March 3, Dr. Forson described the dialogue as a pivotal moment in Ghana’s journey toward economic recovery and sustainable growth. He noted that the initiative underscores the government’s determination to engage all sectors of society in crafting a collective response to the nation’s pressing financial issues.
“I am excited that the historic National Economic Dialogue 2025 is starting this morning. Its outcomes will find clear expression in the upcoming National Budget, which will be read on March 11, 2025, as we work together to reset Ghana’s economy and drive sustainable growth,” Dr. Forson wrote.
The Finance Minister highlighted the significance of the dialogue, emphasizing its potential to influence policies that will stabilize the economy and foster long-term development. He assured Ghanaians that the government is keen on addressing structural issues and implementing actionable recommendations from the dialogue.
