Napoli have won the Serie A title for the 2024-2025 season, securing their fourth championship in club history and their second in three years.
They clinched the title on the final matchday with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari, with goals from Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku, finishing one point ahead of Inter Milan, who won 2-0 against Como.
Under the management of Antonio Conte, who became the first coach to win Serie A with three different clubs (Juventus, Inter, and Napoli), the team overcame a challenging season with a strong defensive record, conceding a league-best 27 goals.
Despite losing key players like Victor Osimhen and Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, Napoli’s success was driven by new signings like McTominay and Lukaku, with Conte’s leadership pivotal in navigating a tight title race.
Cagliari, already safe from relegation, provided a tough challenge early on, with goalkeeper Alen Sherri making several key saves.
Scott McTominay, signed from Manchester United for £25.7m, on the 42nd minute scored a spectacular scissor-kick volley from a Matteo Politano cross, breaking the deadlock and igniting the stadium. This was his 12th goal of the season, earning him the Serie A MVP award.

Romelu Lukaku on the 51st minute, sealed the victory with a solo effort, controlling a long pass, outmuscling defender Michel Adopo, and slotting past Sherri for his 14th goal and 10th assist of the campaign.
Head coach Antonio Conte, appointed on June 5, 2024, for a three-year term, was instrumental in Napoli’s resurgence after a disappointing 10th-place finish in 2023-2024.
Despite being suspended for the final match, Conte became the first coach to win Serie A with three different clubs (Napoli, Inter, Juventus) and secured a top-flight title in his first season with three clubs (Napoli, Juventus, Chelsea).
His tactical acumen built the league’s best defense, conceding only 27 goals, and integrated new signings effectively despite losing star winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia to Paris Saint-Germain in January.
Celebrations erupted in Naples, with fans filling the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona and city squares.
