Nana Addo is not fit for the purpose of breaking the 8 – Victor Emmanuel Smith

The Members of Parliament must rise up to their primary role as the true representative of the people to come out with an act to activate the constitutional instrument of the impeachment process to end the second term of President Nana Akufo-Addo.

Since the past seven years of the leadership of the New Patriotic Party leader has nothing to show, than severe economic hardship and impunity at all levels of governance.

The former Ambassador, to the United Kingdom and leading member of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Hon. Victor Emmanuel Smith stated this on Adekye Mu Nsem’s morning show on Ahotor 92.3 FM in Accra and hosted by Citizen Kofi Owusu in Accra.

He reiterated that the members of parliament must rise up to the cause of helping to ensure true leadership as the representative of the people to save Ghana from going down the drain with corruption, nepotism, and impunity that has characterized the entire New Patriotic Party (NPP) administration.

Hon. Victor Emmanuel Smith is of the view that traveling through the breadth and length of Ghana, exposes the Nana Akufo-Addo government’s neglect of huge infrastructural deficit in areas of roads, and hospitals and severe economic hardship can be felt all over the country.

The MPs must do something urgently to impeach the president to represent the interest of the citizens, this is the time all the members of parliament must show their civic responsibility to represent the people and not the president.

He opined that Ghana is dying slowly, at the expense of bad leadership and impunity at all levels of governance, and the NPP government can be described as on a looting spree where some minister has been reported hoarding cash of different denominations in their various homes for their personal gains.

However, he can see the rise of the citizenry through the recent protest #OccupyJulorbi flagstaff house, which was a sign of anger being expressed by the people of the country, sending a strong signal to the NPP government, that the reality of severe economic hardship is biting very hard, and can sincerely say that the government cannot do anything to change the economic situation in just barely one year to complete its term of office.

He therefore challenged, the Members of parliament to rise up to the task to do the needful as a matter of urgency to fight for the Ghanaians who are going through excruciating economic hardship in the country.
