A Security Analyst, Opanin Sarkodie, is worried over the President, Nana Akufo-Addo’s lack of respect for the constitution that brought him into power.
He cited the NPP’s disregard for adherence to the directives on public gatherings, yet he ( the President ) is silent over it.
Opanin Sakordie, in an interview with Emmanuel Martey ,on Ahotor 92.3 fm evening show dubbed ” Asem Yi Di ka” say’s the President only applies the constitution when it favors him, and if not, he frowns on it.
This is in respect of the President’s ban on social gatherings, and questioned of the directive is applicable to all.
According to him, he sees no reason why the President should issue a directive on social gatherings, and allow National Identification Authority (NIA) to continue registering Ghanaians, for Ghana card, despite a ban on social gathering.
He opined that, the law in this country is to benefit some group of people, and if you do not belong to this group, you’re not valued and made reference to the Electoral Commission (EC) which is an independent body but the President can call it to order since his office is part of making decision to the approval of the ECs budget.
He warned that, Ghana should not thread on the path that let to the civil war in Liberia
