NAGRAT President Discloses the Salary of Headmasters of Achimota, PRESEC, etc: It is Unbelievable

The President of the National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), Angel Carbonu has disclosed the Salary of Headmasters and Mistresses of the various Senior High Schools in Ghana and it’s just hard to believe.

He said “I can say for a fact that all the heads receive less than ghc4000.” He mentioned schools like Adisadel, PRESEC, Achimota, Etc. He said it is just the name but that doesn’t reflect in salary structure.

He was speaking on the striking Teachers, he said unless their demand is met by the government, the are not going back to the schools. He further stressed that this time around, the strike has the full participation of all the four teacher Unions namely NAGRAT GNAT CCT and TEWU.

He noted that they are asking for 20% of their gross salary and nothing else.

The revelation came as a surprised to many who thought the head of these big school received higher remuneration.

It is hopeful that the government will reach a fruitful agreement with the striking teachers to address their concerns.
