Over 100 workers of the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO) are threatening to demonstrate against the organization over unpaid salaries.
According to them, the disaster management body has failed to pay them for over two years.
Also, they added, even though the Ministry of Finance had given clearance for them to be paid the management of the organization are unwilling to.
Speaking Monday June 5, 2017 in an interview with Accra-based Citi FM, the spokesperson for the workers, Alhassan Mohammed said they would be compelled to hit the streets if their monies are not paid immediately.
“We made several attempts to the national headquarters and to the Finance Ministry and this is our last resort. If we don’t hear [anything] by the end of the month we would be forced to embark of a demonstration,” he warned.
