Officials of the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, intercepted a cargo shipment at the Swiss Port that contained substances suspected to be cocaine, concealed within the consignment and destined for the Netherlands.
A total of seventy-three (73) slabs of the suspected narcotic substance were discovered, weighing approximately 89.74 kilograms.
Following the operation, four suspects were arrested and are currently in NACOC custody as investigations continue.
Authorities say this interception forms part of ongoing efforts to clamp down on international drug trafficking networks operating through Ghana’s ports.
