“My Decision to Leave Secular Music Wasn’t Easy for My Producers and Family” – Yaw Siki

Former hiplife artist turned gospel minister, Yaw Siki, has revealed that his decision to leave secular music for gospel was not an easy one for his producers and family.

Speaking on Ahotor Mmre with Obaapa Janee, Yaw Siki shared the challenges he faced after making the bold switch.

According to him, those around him struggled to understand his decision, especially since he had already made a name for himself in the hiplife industry and was doing well.

“It wasn’t easy for my producers and family. They were like, ‘What are you going to do now?’ because I had already established myself in secular music. But I knew this was the path God wanted me to take,” he said.

Yaw Siki, who gained fame with hit songs like Wope Dodo, turned to gospel music after surviving a near-fatal accident in 2013.

Since then, he has devoted his life to spreading the word of God through music and evangelism.

His journey serves as an inspiration to many, showing that true purpose often comes with challenges but can be fulfilling when pursued with faith.
