Musicians Union of Ghana Holds 3rd Biennial Conference

The Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) has held its 3rd biennial conference in Accra, themed “Driving Innovation and Sustainable Growth in the Music Industry”.

The event brought together executives from across the country to discuss the future of the music industry.

In his opening remarks, MUSIGA President, Bessa Simons, welcomed guests and thanked everyone for making it to the conference.

He congratulated the union on its 50th anniversary, citing the challenges faced by regional and other executives in making the union better.

Simons stated that the union’s vision is to see every Ghanaian trending cautiously and economically through music.

He emphasized the need for national executives in every region to share information to make this vision a reality.

The president advised musicians to embrace technology to improve their craft, citing its impact on the world. He also encouraged musicians to prioritize pension schemes to secure their future.

The 50th-anniversary celebrations will culminate in a dinner night on November 29, 2025, at the Labadi Beach Hotel.

He applauded past presidents of MUSIGA for paving the way for his leadership, and urged musicians to work together to drive innovation and growth in the industry.
