Benjamin Obeng-Agyei popularly known in the showbiz cycles as Obi Quest has debunked the notion that, it’s impossible to make good money as a musician.
He said, even under the current ban on public gathering, musicians can also adopt other strategies to make money and not stay as paupers.
According to Obi, he said in the last three years, they have been pushing for a digital music sales where music could be sold and where there could be an online music competition.
He made these suggestions on a Facebook video post sighted by Raphael Caesar an Ahotor kwanso producer saying, for now there is no show and music could be sold through online competition.
The reason for stressing on the competition is just to tell a fan to buy your song on spotify or iTunes through download sites, and there’s no motivation for them to buy your song.
He said a section of musicians have been pushing for that agenda and this is the right time for Ghana to really consider music sales especially with the gad-it agenda.
