Gospel singer Moses Bliss has publicly addressed rumors of a fallout between himself and former Spotlite Nation signee, Ebuka Songz, emphasizing that there is no bad blood between them.
During the inaugural live edition of the WithChude podcast, hosted by Chude Jideonwo, Bliss was asked about ongoing speculation surrounding Ebuka’s departure from his label. In response, the “Too Faithful” hitmaker spoke warmly of Ebuka, calling him a “great guy” and expressing his belief that the best is yet to come for the young artiste.
“We are humans, and you feel a certain way if people misconstrue your intentions. But I’m more concerned about impressing God. My intentions are pure and born out of love,” Bliss said.
He continued, “Ebuka is a great guy. He will do very well. I believe the world has not seen the best of him yet. With good mentors and guidance, he’s destined for even greater things.”
Bliss also clarified that Spotlite Nation operates more as a ministry than a traditional record label. Because of this, he said he is committed to handling controversies in a Christlike manner.
“If anything will come between me and representing God properly, I will choose the path of ministry. I have to respond like a kingdom person, not like the world. It doesn’t matter how I feel,” he emphasized.
Bliss further expressed his joy in Ebuka’s progress, stating, “We have been able to support him, and seeing him grow and impact lives fills my heart with joy. I don’t care what anybody thinks; I’m happy and rooting for him.”
He even revealed that he still refers people to Ebuka when event organizers reach out. “Sometimes they still call me asking for Ebuka, and I say, ‘Yes, Ebuka is available.’ It’s all love for me. As long as the kingdom of God is expanding, my joy is full,” he added.
Ebuka Songz officially parted ways with Spotlite Nation in 2024, but both he and Moses Bliss continue to maintain that their relationship remains strong, refuting any claims of tension.
