Morocco Edges Egypt 1-0 to Reach U20 AFCON Final with South Africa

Morocco’s U20 national team has booked their place in the final of the 2025 CAF U20 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) after beating Egypt 1-0 in their semi-final match.

Morocco dominated possession and shots on goal but couldn’t score in the first half. However, Jones El Abdellaoui’s 77th-minute goal, set up by Ismael Aouad, proved decisive.

Morocco will face South Africa in the final on May 18 after South Africa defeated Nigeria’s Flying Eagles 1-0 in the other semi-final.

The stage is set for an exciting conclusion to the tournament.
