Medeama Captain Blames poor Kpando Pitch for Defeat

Medeama SC captain Fatawu Sulemana has attributed his team’s 1-0 defeat to Kpando Heart of Lions to the poor condition of the Kpando Stadium pitch.

The Yellow and Mauve’s loss saw Heart of Lions climb to fourth on the league table.

Sulemana expressed frustration with the pitch, stating, “It was a good game for us, but the pitch wasn’t helping us. As you could see, we were trying to possess the ball more, but the pitch was not helping us.”

The defeat leaves Medeama in fourth place, with work to do ahead of their upcoming match against league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars. Sulemana acknowledged the disappointment, saying,

“We are very disappointed, but we will go and prepare for our next away match.”

Medeama faces a tough test against Bibiani Gold Stars, who lead the standings with 50 points. The match, scheduled for Sunday, April 20, promises to be an intense encounter.
