Maxwell Konadu Nears Appointment as Accra Hearts of Oak Head Coach

Multiple reports in the local media indicate that Maxwell Konadu is in advanced talks to become the new head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, with the deal reportedly 80% complete.

The club is negotiating with Konadu, a former Black Stars assistant coach and Asante Kotoko manager, to replace Ivorian coach Aboubakar Ouattara, who may transition to a technical director role due to the team’s inconsistent performance in the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Hearts of Oak, currently sixth with 46 points, aim to stabilize and revive their campaign under Konadu’s leadership. Experienced goalkeepers’ coach Najahu Issa is also expected to join Konadu’s staff.

However, AhotorSports checks reveal no official confirmation has been made, and an announcement is pending finalization of contractual details.

Konadu is currently unattached after parting ways with South African club Black Leopards.
