Member of Parliament for Ashiaman constituency , Hon Ernest Henry Norgbey has attributed the recent rise in ritual money business to mass unemployment in Ghana.
Speaking to Citizen Kofi on Ahotor92.3 morning show on the killing of a 10 year old boy by two teenagers in Kasoa, Hon. Norgbey said gov’t has so far failed to create any sustainable job opportunity for the teaming youths causing desperation and frustration among the youth , a sad phenomenon compelling many to look for money by any means possible.
“Govt has taken more loans than any govt in history yet they haven’t created any job, the youth are idle but it’s unfortunate some are going this far but I will blame the Akuffo Addo govt” he stressed
He also touched on what many have already condemned as one of the causes , that’s money rituals business on tv screens by juju men and similar TV contents allowed by the NMC to play on tvs.
He therefore called on the National Media Commission to take steps and address what seems to be a dangerous phenomenon on tv screens.
Asked whether minister for communication would be summond to Parliament to answer questions on juju men taking over tv screens in Ghana, he answered in affirmative and indicated as soon as Parliament resumes , it will be taken care of.
