Manhyia Chiefs Rally Asante Kotoko Players Ahead of Super Clash with Hearts of Oak

A delegation of chiefs from the Manhyia Palace paid a morale-boosting visit to the players of Asante Kotoko ahead of their highly anticipated Super Clash against Hearts of Oak.

The delegation was led by the Manhyia Palace Chief of Staff, Mr. Kofi Badu, and included Offinsomanhene Nana Dwamena Akenten II, Bantamahene Baffour Owusu Amankwatia VI, along with other respected traditional leaders.

The visit was aimed at encouraging the players and reinforcing the club’s fighting spirit ahead of one of the Ghana Premier League’s most iconic fixtures.

Kotoko head into the crucial encounter on the back of a challenging week. The Porcupine Warriors suffered a 3-1 defeat to Heart of Lions, followed by a painful FA Cup exit after losing 4-2 on penalties to Aduana FC at the Baba Yara Stadium last Sunday.

The FA Cup setback also led to the resignation of head coach Karim Zito, adding to the club’s recent struggles.

With pride, history, and crucial points at stake, Kotoko will be determined to respond positively when they face their archrivals in front of their home supporters.

Kickoff for the much-awaited clash is scheduled for 17:00 GMT on Sunday.
