Manchester City Humbled Chelsea At Stamford Bridge

Manchester City started their Premier League campaign fantastically after securing a 2-0 victory over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

The match, highly anticipated as the season opener, saw Manchester City assert their dominance with a composed and clinical performance but Chelsea although proved to be a force to reckoned with at their home grounds.

Manchester City registeredthe first goal came in the 18th minute, with Erling Haaland finding the back of the net after a piercing through pass from Bernardo Silva . Despite Chelsea’s efforts to respond, Manchester City’s defense remained solid, thwarting any serious threats.

The victory was sealed in the 84th minute when former Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic doubled Manchester City’s lead with a brilliant drive which pass the arms of goalkeeper Robert Sanchez.

The win gives Manchester City an early boost in their title defense, while Chelsea will look to bounce back in the coming fixtures.
